Right thought is to realize that mental energy affects actions. This is a commitment to self improvement both mentally and ethically. The root of all suffering comes from the 15 defilements (ill-will, greed, hostility,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], denigration, dominance, envy, jealousy, hypocrisy, fraud, obstinacy, presumption, conceit, arrogance, vanity,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and negligence).
There are six methods that the Buddha realized could remove defilements from the mind.
In order to start practicing Buddhism, a clear understanding of the Eightfold path sets the foundation for great spiritual gain. The Eightfold Path lies at the heart of Buddhism. This path will guide those wishing to obtain enlightenment, and end personal suffering as it exist.
