Founded in 1917, Delta Phi Epsilon began as the 1st sorority founded by students by a professional school. Today, Delta Phi Epsilon continues to serve either undergraduate and alumnae members by providing fellowship and services for a lifetime.
The Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation was built in 1967 to help collegiate members and alumnae continue their educational endeavors and to cater educational programming for collegiate chapters. It also provides crisis financial assistance to collegiate members when their families suddenly face fiscal hardship and are unable to pay tuition and related fees.

Most sororities and fraternities based in the United States were founded aboard institute campuses at undergraduate students.
