According to the Bible, everyone was created with unique God-given abilities, which are precious in God’s sight; and God wants people to cultivate those talents for His glory and for their blessing and own good.
For Christians, there are some valuable spiritual lessons found in the Adam and Eve story. That God rested on the seventh day, following His creation of everything, is significant. At this stage, Christians believe that the world was perfect and Adam and Eve were sinless. They must have followed the model shown by God to abstain from their work in the Garden of Eden, hence the need for proper recognition of the Sabbath Day by the ancient Israelites in later times (Exodus 31:15). Adam and Eve had a relationship with God, and on the Sabbath Day they would have interacted with Him and worshiped Him.
Genesis 2:1-25.
The Adam and Eve Story Implications
To know what happened before the creation of Adam and Eve, read The Genesis Story of Creation. To know what happened after the creation of Adam and Eve [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], read The Fall of Man in the Book of Genesis.
According to the Bible, woman was created in a different way. The Book of Genesis recounts that God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. He then removed a rib and created woman from the rib He took. (Genesis 2: 21,22). According to Carl Wieland [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a foremost Australian Creationist, it is an interesting, coincidental scientific fact that the rib is the only bone in the human body capable of growing back when removed.
Many Christians believe that if God created Adam and Eve, male and female, this suggests that He had special plans for them.
Warren, W. (1991). With the Word. Nashville: Thomas Nelson.
Adam and Eve achieved the perfect work/life balance as they dwelled with their Creator. Adam was blessed with the responsibility of managing the Garden of Eden. He worked diligently with the opportunities God gave him, and brought glory to God with the gifts and abilities he was created with.
Christians believe that whatever responsibilities God has given people, they must work at them with all their might and bring glory to God by putting to diligent use the talents and abilities God has given them. For example, if one is geared up to be an architect, he should work at that as best he can, using all of his potential. If one is geared up to be a musician, it's believed that he should work at that as best he can, using all of his potential. If both people happen to be Christians, they might find opportunities to use their talents in the Lord’s service. The architect could design churches to house growing parishes. The musician could join a church band.

According to the Book of Genesis [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Adam and Eve were created by God, and in God’s own image. It's also said that God blessed them with unique responsibilities and gifted them with all kinds of talents. Christians believe that people alive today also have various God-given responsibilities and, like humanity’s first parents, they believe that one should do his best to excel in those talents.
Adam and Eve’s Working Relationship with God
Christians believe that once God finished creating the world, all land animals, all air animals and all sea animals, He decided to add to his handiwork. He formed man out of the dust of the earth, and named him Adam.
