Pre-order CE's limited to 50,000 copies in Europe and US.
Among massively multiplayer online gamers, there’s nothingmore exciting than the weeks leading up to the release of a new MMO. Inrecent years, fans have often been given the opportunity to jump intothese late testing beta experiences by doing nothing more thanpre-ordering a copy of the upcoming title. This combined with headstart programs drove much of the early sales for games like Age ofConan and WarhammerOnline, and not it looks like Aion is seeingsimilar results from their pre-order programs.
Over in the United Kingdom,Cheap FFXIV Gil, several prominent retailers –specifically Amazon and GAME.com – haveapparently sold outof their allotment of Aionpre-orders. While sell outs do occur in thegaming space, it isn’t a common occurrence so we went toNCsoft to get to the bottom of the shortage.
We touched base with PR Director Ryan James, who had this to say aboutthe lack of Aion copies in the UK:
We’re very excited by the demandwe’ve seen for Aionoverall,FFXIV Gil, both in our beta test Aion kinah events and in preorders andpresales of the game. We specifically have seen incredible demand forthe Limited Collector’s Edition version of the game,FFXIV Gold, of whichwe are producing 50,cheapest wow gold,000 copies in North America and Europe. In somecases, retailers in both territories have indeed sold out of theirallotments. However, there are still copies available and the best wayto ensure you can get your hands on a collector’s editionbefore launch is to preorder it today either from brick & mortar and online retail outlets,Buy FFXIV Gil, or you can order the digital limited edition version of Aionfrom digital retailers. Go to Aiononline.com for a list of ourretail partners.
As a reminder,Aion Gold, those who preorder the game today are given Aion kinah access tothe remaining beta events leading up to the game’s launch inSeptember. We’ve been incredibly happy with the responsewe’ve seen to our beta testing thus far, which began a Aion kinah littleover a month ago. The beta test events have not only been agreat way for players to get a taste of what promises to be the biggestMMO of 2009, but has also provided NCsoft with the ability to identifyissues and ultimately ensure the best MMO experience possible atAion’s launch.
So there you have it folks, it looks like there are indeed limitedcopies of the Collector’s Edition for Aion, so make sureyouget your pre-orders in as soon as possible.
