(6758.TO) plans to increase outsourcing of flat-panel TV production for the Chinese market for the next fiscal year starting in April in a bid to cut costs,Print solution outsourcing, the Tokyo Shumbun reported in its Saturday morning edition,outsourcing and globalization, without citing sources.
Through the move,Outsourcing Solution For Retail Goods, the company aims to cut prices of flat panel TVs by 20% to 30% from the current levels,Localization Software, hoping to increase its market share in China. The company makes flat-panel TVs for the Chinese market at plants including its Shanghai plant,Offshore outsourcing, but now plans to increase outsourcing to local subcontractors to trim production and distribution costs. |
