Max Roach’s The Third Eye demonstrates Roach’s unique playing style rim work at cymbal work was melodic air max 95 shoes, flawless and creative. His work with brushes and jazz and swing improve was different every time he played and was marveled by Buddy Rich and other great players of the day this video really shows his diversity and non-stop fills light to heavy but not too much just a taste. Smooth as silk.
Of all the drummers I have ever seen no one can compare to the some of the solos that Buddy Rich has compiled. He was a master at the art of drumming. In this drum solo from 1970 he shows the cymbal and snare work that has lauded him as the King. If you look at some drummers some use flash along with chops but with Buddy it was all about chops.
Being a long time drummer I would pick this one video as one of the best drum solos of all time at least a drum solo that’s recorded. No one works a snare like Buddy. The guy was just amazing.
