| According to legend, Buddha summoned all animals to witness his departure from earth, but only twelve turned up to say goodbye. In order of arrival these were the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit Puma Soccer, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey Puma Complete, rooster, dog and finally the pig. To reward the animals, Buddha gave the name of each animal to each year of the lunar cycle, in the same order of their appearance.
