Hamstring to sideline Wright for month and a half
Although a hamstring strain could sideline Bears rookie safety Major Wright for a month and a half or longer, according to a league source, starter Chris Harris Jersey sees no reason to panic.
"I wouldn't say it's a setback,'' Chris Harris Jersey said. "This might be the deepest safety group I've been around. It might be a setback for (Wright), but I think we have good guys in our room.''
Wright was supposed to be part of a rotation with Chris Harris Jersey and Danieal Manning until he suffered the injury chasing down Cowboys rookie Dez Bryant on Bryant's 62-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Receiver Earl Bennett was sidelined six weeks with his hamstring strain. Wright is staring at the same time frame.
Placing Wright on injured reserve doesn't appear to be in the immediate plans, but that's always an option.
"Right now I'm just going off what the trainers are telling me,'' said Wright, who also suffered a fractured index finger and groin pull during the preseason. "(The hamstring) just felt really tight. I'm taking it day by day.''
Without Wright, both Chris Harris Jersey and Manning, the starting strong safety, might have to log heavy minutes, particularly Monday night against the Packers. Josh Bullocks and Craig Steltz are the reserves, with Steltz finally recovered from an ankle injury.
"Steltz and Bullocks know what's going on,'' Chris Harris Jersey said. "We'll be fine with those two back there.''
In last season's opener in Green Bay, the Packers squeaked out a 21-15 victory thanks,NFL Jerseys, in part, to the Bears' poor safety play. A breakdown allowed Aaron Rodgers to hit Greg Jennings with the winning 50-yard touchdown.
Chris Harris Jersey wasn't around then but understands what to expect from Rodgers and crew. The Packers quarterback tied for the league lead with 17 passes of 40-plus yards last season.
"For us to win, period, we can't give up big plays,'' Chris Harris Jersey said. "They pass well. So we know we're going to have to eliminate big plays over the top.''
Manning, who played nickel back in last season's game at Lambeau Field and sacked Rodgers, has adjusted well to strong safety.
Most expected him to shift to nickel back once Wright learned the defense. With Wright out, the Bears need Manning to remain consistent as a starter. |
