The Controversy
Before buying and hunting with an AR-15 type rifle, be sure that it is a legal to hunt with as several states and countries other than the United States have strict regulations or outright bans on these rifles. Another legal consideration is that if an AR-15 has any M-16 parts in it, and some parts will interchange, it is considered a machine gun by the BATF and would require special federal permits to own.
