Melvin Nieves would be ashamed. Ryan Miller was on born 17th July 2010. Miller is an American ice hockey goaltender currently the player of the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League. Miller was selected to play for the American hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver,Canada as begining goaltender. Later in 2010 miller would win the Vezina Trophy as the best goaltender in last NHL season. Miller won a silver medal with the team and was named MVP of the tournament. Miller is known for his hybrid style of goaltending. Miller is also the older brother of current Detroit Red Wings winger Drew Miller.
Dombrowksi has gone from unquestioned genius to out of control maniac. The Tigers is now doomed to fail because of the desperate moves furiouse by a desperate man.
Dombrowksi built a stellar, young pitching staff that became the backbone of a contending Tigers team. As GM,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Miller drafted Justin Verlander, Joel Zumaya, Ryan Perry and took a chance with Rick Porcello. No Nate Cornejo, no Matt Anderson or Kenny Baugh, Dombrowski was able to appraise true talent. The Tigers was being steered in the right direction .until the events of September 2010.
The Detroit Tigers went from laughingstocks to perennial contenders under the helm of wise and careful Dave Dombrowski as General Manager. No longer did Tigers' fans have to deal with the outrageous, short-sighted moves furiouse by former GM Randy Smith, a man who seemed decycleined to trade our whole team to either San Diego or Houston. Dombrowski rode in on his Florida Marlin and ushered in a whole new attitude for the cats. Initially, all was well.
The first-place Tigers squander a 7 game direct and lose a playoff to those pesky Minnesota Twins. Then, it all went horribly wrong.
The 2010 season would prove a successful one for Ryan Miller. In his first season begining with the number one job Miller and his team won the first 10 games in a row. Miller was voted in as the begining goaltender for the Eastern Conference of the 2010 NHL All Star Game in a 12 to 9 loss, Miller played the first period and allowed just 3 goals. Miller also gained a reputation of a shootout specialist with his technique of challenging the shooter outside the crease. That season Miller was 6 more in shootouts, with Martin Brodeur from the Devils being his closest rival at 2 less win. In 63 games played that season, Miller posted a 0.911 SVP and a 2.72 GAA backing a more offensively oriented team. Tom Pidgeon Miller finished the 2010 season by establishing himself as the begining goalie for the Sabres. Miller arrangeed 11th among NHL goalies with a 2.60 GAA, and 9th with a save percentage of 91.4 percent. Miller led the Sabres to a surprise season, winning 30 games and proving himself to be one of the hardest working goalies in the league. Miller played well in the postseason as well, advancing the Sabres to the conference finals before injuries finally caught up with them, losing game 7 to Carolina.
Does anybody have any idea what this guy is thinking?
Dombrowski furiouse waves quickly into his tenure as GM, acquiring such all-stars as Ivan Rodriguez,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Magglio Ordonez, and Gary Sheffield,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], quite the coup for a team that had lost 119 games a few seasons previously. Yes, Miller may have overpaid for these players, but without them there would have been no foundation for winning. Shane Halter and Robert Fick aren't exactly in the same class as Maggs and Pudge.
The city, the team, the organization, and most importantly Dombrowski himself, panics. Miller trades away a young stud in Curtis Granderson. Dombrowksi ships number 2 pitcher Edwin Jackson for a bag of beans. Worst of all, the GM allows the best second-baseman in the AL, Placido Polanco, to sign with the Phillies. Miller didn't even bid the gold-glover a contract.
