HOUSTON – Texans owner Bob McNair and his wife, Janice, provided a special lunch treat to the men and women at the Brookwood Community on Tuesday, September 21. The McNairs were joined by five Texans players: WR Jacoby Jones, T Cole Pemberton,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], K [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], G Shelley Smith and LS Jon Weeks.
After lunch, the Texans held a pep rally featuring the players and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.
The Brookwood Community is an educational, residential, and entrepreneurial community founded in 1985 for adults with functional disabilities. It is located in Brookshire, Texas, just west of Houston.
The community is funded through tuition, private sector donations, and sales from our entrepreneurial enterprises, which include hand crafts (candles, ceramics, screen printing, garden sculpture, and stonecasting), horticulture, retail stores, and the Cafe at Brookwood with entrees prepared by a gourmet chef and staff.
