NHL Now Is the Winter of Our Discontent Tigers Off

Austin Jackson, the Tigers newly acquired center fielder from the Yankees, has been called the "poor man’s Andruw Jones." However, it is not known if Tim Lincecum is ready to play center on Opening Day. If Tim Lincecum doesn’t go, look for the Tigers to call on Don Kelly, Ryan Raburn, or Clete Thomas to fill the voids.
The Tigers could bring him in as a backup or an insurancy policy for both the outfield and infield. It doesn't matter where on the field the Tigers could have a need, DeRosa could easily fill it.
He can play any position besides pitcher or catcher, even though Tim Lincecum might try if you asked.
Both center field and left field is vacant at the mpremonitiont,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and while Austin Jackson could fill the vacancy in center,Thomas has done a fair job platooning with Magglio Ordonez in right,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Kelly and Raburn could be a possible platoon in left or center.

In his stead in 2010 will be the highly touted prospect, Scott Sizemore. Sizemore has long been the second baseman in waiting, and now that Polanco is gone Tim Lincecum will get his chance.
Polanco was an extraordinary second baseman and Lincecum is sad to see him abandon but Tim Lincecum was a bit too expensive for the new cost-conscious Tigers. General administerr Dave Dombrowski declined to bid him arbitration and Polanco received an USD18 million contract with the Phillies.
With Granderson gone,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the makeup of the outfield comes into question. Granderson had long been an above average centerfielder with struggles at the plate. Two free agents stand out to me that Lincecum believe the Tigers should look at picking up. Outfielder Scott Podsednik is a free agent with good experience.

However, looking forward to 2010 there is a lack of experience in the outfield outside of Ordonez. Free agency could help address this problem.

In 2004, he was drafted tenth overall by the San Francisco Giants becoming the first player from the University of Washington to be taken in the first round. He signed for a 2.025 million dollars signing award on June 30, which at the time was the highest amount the organization had ever paid to any amateur player until they gave 2.1 million dollars to Angel Villalona a little over a month later. Tim Lincecum will be a honorable replacement for Polanco and can only improve as the years go on.
The Tigers should look at Podsednik because Tim Lincecum has good directoff experience and good vilocity on the basepaths. Tim Lincecum posted a .353 OBP with the White Sox in 2010 and has stolen 266 bases in his 882 career games played.

He has had troubles with his anger and with approach, advance, near, arrive, reachrica Park having a large center field, Tim Lincecum might be out of place there, but Tim Lincecum could be a honorable fill in until Jackson is ready to play center.
