famous former Packer, former Falcon, Brett Favre is really out of Favor with his Feverish, if Fickle, Fabled Cheese Head Fans, Will he find the Fervor to Lead his Favored Vikings past the unfriendly, fairly feeble Packers and their frequently Fanatic fans at his Famous Former Field?
It was a fairly simple question really. But it was driving a lot of NFL Picks experts and sports handicappers crazy this past week, as the Green Bay Packers prepared to Face Favre in a Minnesota Vikings uniform at fabled Lambeau Field. It is widely speculated that Favre does not hate Green Bay and did not, as reported, throw darts at Green Bay on a USA map every morning. We do not know where this rumor surfaced, nor do we know if it might be true that the reason he stopped throwing darts at Green Bay on a map was because he was hitting Minneapolis as often as he hit Green Bay. Clearly he can still throw a football.
As a sports handicapper and NFL Picks expert, the hype surrounding Favre and this past week's Vikings, Packers match-up is troubling in that it was all way too emotional. Sports handicappers base most of their NFL Picks on predicting the logical outcome of any given game. They examine trends and strengths, they measure defenses and prior yardage,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they look at the likely affect of injuries changing outcomes. They just generally are not so good with calibrating the emotional effect a former star for one team might have playing against his former team, especially in front of radical,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fanatic fans who eat too much cheese and wash it down with lots of beer.
Sports handicappers are ok with weather as a factor,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for instance. Clearly Brett likes playing in Minneapolis, where the climate at game time is always better than that in Green Bay because there is a roof. However, even if weather is a factor, will it be as big a factor as the emotions of 50,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 cheese heads or the pent up aggression of a normally laid back quarterback who has a chance to stick a game ball individually up the ass of each and every one of those cheese lover's with whom he has lost favor? That is the question I asked myself as I finally figured out my NFL Pick for the Packers vs. Vikings Match-up this past Sunday.
We don't do actual predictions in these pages because by the time you read this the game will be over but my "Free NFL Pick" prediction for this past Sunday's Packers Vs. Vikings game was as follows. The Pack will look good all day leading to a late forth quarter score putting them in the lead by at least four points. With seconds left Favre will fake to Peterson and drop back to throw a game winning touchdown which will have the affect of inserting a game ball unilaterally into the waiting asses of 50k screaming cheese heads.
As a result of the game, thousands of Wisconsin fans will be forced to drive all the way to Chicago to purchase KY Jelly. Brett Favre will announce his return next season to Minnesota and give up his endorsement deal with Sears based on his indecisiveness in buying tv's but he will make a bundle on his recent "Johnson and Johnson" stock purchase. "Johnson and Johnson" owns and makes KY Jelly.
