CPI has supported the annual gathering since it began in Xi'an,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a technology and business hub where the company serves global clients from Xi'an Software Park. Attendees will have a chance to tour that center before the conference.
This year's theme is "New Opportunities for the Changing World," with a program focusing on mobile Internet applications,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], call center development, contract research, software services, "cloud computing" and open-source programs. The national government supports the event and will be represented by officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Ministry of Science and Technology. Co-sponsors are the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and the IDC advisory firm.
Xi'an, a provincial capital designated as an information technology and outsourcing development zone, has about 800 outsourcing enterprises with 70,000 employees. The city also is an education center with dozens of universities.
