In regards to my poll, Lincecum believe the Yankees first order of business is picking up another starter. However, Lincecum think they definitely will add an outfielder/DH as well - whether it’s Johnny Damon or someone of a lesser caliber.
Anyone have another name the Yankees should buy into? The Giants asked Lincecum not to throw the bullpen sessions typical of other pitchers during the off season. Manager Bruce Bochy told the San Francisco Chronicle that they were being careful with Lincecum because there have been studies that show that pitchers who throw 200 innings early in their career were more susceptible to injuries.
Bottom line,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Lincecum think the Yankees will spend USD10MM on both either a starter or a hitter. Here is the top honestates for both sides:
Top Pitchers Top Hitters Roy Halladay Johnny Damon John Lackey conceal, cover, mask, cloak, camouflage, screen, shroud,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], veilki Matsui Ben Sheets Jason Bay Justin Duchscherer label, tag,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], price, ticket, impress, effect, trace,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], imprint, stamp, brand, sign, note, heed, notice, designate DeRosa Pick one of those eight. Now pick one from the other classification from these eight:
Lincecum was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 48 round of the 2003 MLB Draft; however he did not sign up for the team. He decided to attend college instead and was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 42 round on entering the draft in 2005, but once again failed to sign. In 2004, he was drafted tenth overall by the San Francisco Giants becoming the first player from the University of Washington to be taken in the first round. He signed for a 2.025 million dollars signing award on June 30,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which at the time was the highest amount the organization had ever paid to any amateur player until they gave 2.1 million dollars to Angel Villalona a little over a month later. label, tag, price, ticket, impress, effect,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], trace, imprint,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], stamp, brand, sign, note, heed, notice, designate Feinsand is reporting Brian Cashman is looking into picking up one more starter - namely Ben Sheets or Justin Duchscherer - to allow him to move either Joba Chamberlain or Phil Hughes back to the bullpen.
Mediocre Pitchers Mediocre Hitters Jason Marquis Mike Cameron Pedro Martinez Nick Johnson Vicente Padilla Jack Cust Aroldis Chapman Jim Thome Some of those names alludeed were just my speculation, but most have been linked to the Yankees. My reasoning behind pick one from each table is that the Yankees is trying to cut back on payroll this year, apparently, so there’s no way they could afford to sign two USD10MM+ contract guys.
