I've been playing MMOs at this point for something like a decade; and nothing pains me more than seeing the hard word of my peers being used to further the efforts of some account hijacker who gains the benefit of your gold from your farming. ,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Or steals everything in your guild bank. Or prevents you from making raid night because all your gear got sharded. Or does any number of other things to disrupt your ability to enjoy the game. I know a lot of [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] people really don't like the authenticators. And I've heard a ton of player arguments against them. The most common being "I've been playing for X years and haven't been hijacked yet because I'm not an idiot."
Which is great except for the fact that you're purposefully leaving yourself more vulnerable than you should be. The thing is that the web is not safe. There is no such thing as too much security. Blocking Flash code and running NoScript is all well and good. So why not take cheap aion kinah the one extra step to protect yourself? If not for yourself than do it to make it that much more difficult for the jerks who are stealing from your fellow aion players.
That ended up being a larger rant than it was really meant to be. But if I can help protect a single player then it was worth it. So that brings us to this week's pet; which should now be obvious. For those who just love collecting pets; this is a cool one. Note that you won't be able to [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] summon your core hound pup anymore if you unbind your authenticator from your account; BUT it will still be in your pet tab and count towards your pet collection achievements. Authenticators aren't the final answer to account security in the industry.
At least not in their current incarnation. But I do think its important to be willing to take measures to protect ourselves. MMO customer support can be stronger and faster for everyone if they get less bogged +down with having to recover compromised accounts.
If we show we care then this sort of thing will catch on (Square-Enix,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for example,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], has already embraced the idea for Final Fantasy XI and their upcoming FFXIV). And new technology will be developed to aion kinah cheap make added security as cheap and readily available as possible. At any rate, I apologize for the really preachy update this week.
