The Cowboys gathered on the practice field for a speech before Thursday's practice. It wasn't called by head coach Wade Phillips.
The talk was delivered by linebacker Keith Brooking.
"He wanted to say something to the team,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],'' said Phillips, who remained outside of the circle with his assistants for most of the brief talk.
One point was how everyone needed to give full effort on a hot afternoon.
"I think he's very good at it, especially for a guy who has only been with the team one year and was voted captain,'' Phillips said. "I think everyone listens.''
