The First Winter X Games Appearance…In 2004 [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], at thirteen years of age, Anderson made her Winter X Games debut and finished in ninth place. In 2006 during her first appearance as a competitor in the Women's Slopestyle event [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Jamie Anderson took home the bronze medal. Her win made her the youngest Winter X Games medalist in X Games history. The previous owner of that title, Shaun White was just days older than Anderson when he had nabbed the same honor.
"Jammin'" Jamie Anderson earned multiple podium finishes during the following year. She established herself as one of the top female athletes to watch on the world circuit.

An Early Start…Jamie Anderson started snowboarding when she was nine-years old. She had offers for sponsorship by the time she was ten. The South Lake Tahoe, CA resident followed her two older sisters into the sport and proved herself a fierce competitor in all disciplines of snowboarding. For the 2007 Winter X Games Anderson was invited to participate in the Slopestyle, Superpipe and SnowboarderX competitions.
The Youngest Ever…One of the stand-out athletes from the 2007 Winter X Games was snowboarder Jamie Anderson. At sixteen-years old, Anderson became the youngest gold medal winner in Winter X Games history. It isn't only her age that makes her stand out. Anderson is aggressive rider who manages to throw down consistently strong runs. Even in her first year as a professional rider Anderson's potential was apparent.
Getting the Gold…In 2007, at Winter X Games 11 Anderson threw down a solid first run. That first run ended up being the one that earned her the gold medal for Women's Slopestyle. Anderson's second run was a victory run as she had already earned her medal. In addition to winning a gold medal, and becoming the youngest Winter X Games athlete to do so, Anderson was also named Most Outstanding Female Athlete of Winter X Games 11.
