Theres no need to be ashamed. Admitting you need help is a good sign that you really want to succeed.
A family member or a close friend is our first choice when it comes to help and motivation. They are our pillars of support. However, sometimes its hard for them to relate to what you feel (unless you have the same problem with weight and food). So you want someone or maybe even a group of fellow dieters to give you emotional support, encouragement, and motivation.
Joining an online weight loss support group can give you the anonymity you want or the option of meeting up with people in your locale to give each other support.
What should you consider before signing up for an online weight loss support group?
1.Is it want you really want? Do you want to talk to people you dont know even if you have the same problem? Are you comfortable sharing your weight issues and food habits with unknown individuals? Lets make it clear, however, that these online weight loss support groups are sticklers for privacy.
Heres one example of the type of information they get from you for membership: first name only, amount of weight you need to lose, type of diet you're following, amount of exercise,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], your struggle with weight loss, short bio about yourself, and hobbies (got this info from My Diet Buddy).
And you always have the option of cancelling your membership if you dont find the support group to be helping you at all.
2.Does the support group youre going to join represent the weight loss goals you have? Well, it would really be a big help if there are available tips and information from fellow dieters on how you can achieve weight loss, safer and faster. If you want to achieve your weight loss goals then it would help if you surround yourself with people with the goals like you have, right?

Others are relying for your support and are willing to help you when the going gets tough. Do you have the heart to let these people down?
