The Best Bad Troll Movie To Watch
There is a scene in this film that begs for an explanation. There is a moment where Grandpa Seth tells Joshua that he is going to cause a distraction and he picks up a fire extinguisher. The very next scene has Grandpa Seth setting it down and doing NOTHING WITH IT. It makes no sense. The script just ignores the fire extinguisher and it is sitting on the porch and is in plain view for a good five minutes. Why is it not mentioned? What was the point?

It might be shocking to find that a movie entitled Troll 2 has no trolls in it. Not only that but it has absolutely nothing to do with the movie Troll. The story goes that the original screenplay was called "Goblins" and that someone at MGM decided to attach the film to the 1986 film Troll. It might not seem like much but what if the movie "Witches" had sorceresses instead of witches.

1) The Fire Extinguisher
There is simply too much to talk about when it comes to what is wrong with the film. Anything that goes into making a film - this one does it poorly. Horrible directing, horrible acting, terrible script, terrible make up [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and terrible cinematography. It's amazing a film like this exists but it is well worth a watch if only to just marvel at the atrocity.
This performance has to be one of the oddest demonstrations of acting ever. Every line is delivered with a very peculiar tone and expression. Every time this actress is on screen the audience is wondering if she is going to snap. Her eyes are always wide open like she is constantly shocked or scared about something. She looks psychotic and some of her dialogue reflects that. There is a moment where the whole family is in the van and she wants Joshua to "Sing that song I love so much" and she begins to sing “Row Row Row Your Boat”. It's a very odd sequence.
This character is supposed to be helping Joshua but really he is just making things worse. For whatever reason he is appearing to Josh and telling him that they shouldn't go to Nilbog because it's dangerous. Why he isn't appearing to the parents of the family is anyone's guess. It's obvious that they can see him too. Later in the movie they can all see him. By appearing to Joshua it just makes him look crazy and no one believes him. Grandpa Seth becomes the most useless character and is more successful scaring the crap out of Josh than he is at saving his life.

It's insane how much of a cult following the film Troll 2 has procured. There are still nighttime showings at certain theaters [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], tons of comments on IMDB and recently a documentary entitled "Best Worst Movie" was made on the film chronicling the former actors and the overall reception of the film. Bad books are bad and bad music is bad but sometimes bad movies can prove to be more fun to watch than a a good film. Here is a list of the top Troll 2 moments that push this film from bad to hilariously bad.
The goblins are little people in potato sacks. That's really all that needs to be said. The masks look like something a kindergarten class could string together. Some of the masks have this wide-eyed expression on them that are impossible to look at without laughing.
