Dead Links Are ExpensiveShare this Blog Entry: When it comes to delivering a positive user experience,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], any article in EzineArticles that has a dead or broken link is a liability.Recently we completed an audit and found that we are hosting 107,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],405 Dead Links.This isn8217;t acceptable and we8217;re feeling compelled to act in order to prevent our guests/site visitors from having a bad experience with any of our members articles.BLOG QUESTION OF THE DAY: What should we do with articles that have bad links?The best option being considered is notifying the member via email and via their EzineArticles Inbox of the fact that they have a dead or broken link with a gentle warning that if they don8217;t fix the problem within (7) days8230;that we8217;ll auto-remove the HREF statement behind their links so that the link is no longer active. Your thoughts?
The secondary purpose is to show you how much traffic 038; visibility your articles are attracting for you.Some questions for you:How would you like to see these email reports improved?What additional information should we include in them?Is monthly the right frequency to send them or would like them more or less frequently?Does this email service lead you to really write and submit more articles or not so much?Would you like to see total # of clicks delivered to your website?
